HAUL : ESTEE LAUDER STAFF SALE 2015

Hello to all my beautiful and wonderful readers! Happy Sunday to all. First off, I would like to thank all of you who reads my blog and enjoys it. It makes me feel very happy and motivated to write more. If there's anything that you'd like for me to review, let me know and I'll try to do it for you if it's within my means.

DISCLAIMER : Everything I've reviewed or write about so far, has been bought with my own money and has no way been given to me by any company/brands. All reviews are my own 'two-cents' about the products and is not influenced by anyone/anything in any way.

Today I will be sharing with you the items I got from the Estee Lauder Staff Sale 2015 yesterday. As mentioned in my post yesterday, I only bought 4 items, one of which I found out that I already have in my collection.

The first thing I bought is the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Copper Diamond (RM 83) which I believe was part of the 2014 holiday collection.

Despite being name 'Copper Diamond', it doesn't swatch at all like a copper shade but I love how Gold the colour looks when swatched. It's an amazing gold shade.

The next thing I bought is also a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Sandstone (RM 83). This was the item that I have an extra in my collection but without the limited edition packaging.

The colour when swatched is not as golden as the 'Copper Diamond' one but I still love it.

So those are what I bought from Bobbi Brown. Now, onto M.A.C. I only bought one item from M.A.C. which I was soooo happy to find at the sale. I actually wanted to purchase this when the collection was released a couple months back but decided not to and when I saw this at the sale, I had to get it!

It is the M.A.C. x Bao Bao Wan Beauty Powder in Summer Opal (RM 65).
The colour is a gorgeous golden peach with a very light bronze tone to it. It is nothing too orange or red. It just gives the skin a gorgeous natural glow (I'm wearing just that on my cheeks, and contoured with NYX's HD Blush in Taupe)

Finally, the last item I got, is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF 10. I was contemplating on whether I should get this or the Estee Lauder Double Wear All Day Glow BB. I ended up getting the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF 10 in Intensity 0.5 (RM 60) which was a steal!

I'm wearing it in the above picture as well. I took that picture after 5 hours of wear. It still looks amazing. I'm totally impressed by the coverage despite being a 'light version' and to me, it's a satin finish.

So that's all for my haul from the Estee Lauder Staff Sale 2015. I enjoyed myself despite all the stress experienced during the sale. I hope I'll be able to go for the one next year.

ESTEE LAUDER STAFF SALE 2015 : LIVE UPDATE

Morning lovelies! It's 5.15am in the morning and I'm currently within the first line. I was a little late today as I underestimated. The previous year I was the first few in line. I guess this will have to do.

See the queue below :

-5.15am-

-6.15am-

-6.50am-

This year, I didn't felt like I had to queue really long, maybe because I came little later than I usually do. At 8 am sharp, we were all pumped up and excited! All of us were just ready to charge into the sales area.

The product selection this year was ok and I managed to grab 3 face highlighters (one of which I just realised I have already in my collection) and an Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Light.

Some of the items that were on sale were M.A.C eyeshadows, paint pots, gel liners, lipsticks were limited (mostly lipglosses). The M.A.C. x Prabal Gurung collection were also on sale. For Bobbi Brown there were make up palettes but nothing appealed to me much except for the 2014 Holiday collection shimmer brick. And there were many more.

All in all, I managed to spend under budget and I was really proud of myself for not going crazy by buying everything.

So yea, stay tuned for my next post which will be my haul and swatches.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS REVIEW : M.A.C. LIP PENCIL IN STRIPDOWN

I've always wanted to own the M.A.C. lip pencil in Oak but during my recent trip to M.A.C., I was told that Oak wasn't available. I'm not too sure if it's not available here in Malaysia or whether it was just out of stock. However I decided to try the ever-so-famous Stripdown instead but I ain't stripping down anything for this. *wink*

M.A.C. Stripdown lip pencil (RM 65) is one of Kim Kardashian's favourite lip pencil so I decided to give it a try and see what's all the rave about. And boy was I glad I purchased this. The lip pencil is just an ordinary lip pencil that needs to be sharpened, something I hate to do but I can look pass that.

The colour pay-off is great and it glides on absolutely smooth despite the dryness of my lips. I have dry lips all the time, 24/7 but this lip pencil doesn't make any more dry than it already is which is great and the pigmentation helps cover the imperfections on my lips. Excuse my tired looking face.

I will have to update on the lasting power of this lip pencil though as I have just purchased this two days ago.

UPDATE : The lip pencil lasts for about 4 - 5 hours with eating and drinking. By the fifth hour, the colour starts to fade and you'll need to touch up.

I love pairing this lip pencil with my NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in London :)

I hope you all enjoyed my review on the M.A.C Lip Pencil in Stripdown.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS REVIEW : M.A.C. COSMETICS CINDERELLA IRIDESCENT POWDER IN COUPE D'CHIC

To officiate my new blog (which I hope everyone would come to love someday), I would like to start off with a M.A.C. review on their latest collection - M.A.C Cinderella collection. The collection was released earlier this week in conjunction with the up-coming Disney classic re-make, Cinderella

The collection is a limited edition collection magical enough to make any girl's dreams come true. It features a limited edition six pan eyeshadow palette, two studio eye glosses (these are M.A.C. Pro items, limited to this collection), two pigments, two fluidline (gel eyeliner), a studio fix lash mascara (permanent but special packaging) , two lipsticks, two lip glasses, a beauty powder, an iridescent powder, a glitter, 217 blending brush (permanent) and a 168 large angle contour brush (permanent).

I did not buy much from this collection, only one particular item caught my eyes and it is the M.A.C. Iridescent Powder in Coupe D'Chic. The M.A.C. Iridescent Powder costs RM 105 and I bought mine from the M.A.C. Cosmetics outlet in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

Let's begin with the packaging. The packaging is gorgeous! It is described by M.A.C. on their website as a pearlized light lavender blue and it is, but I would just call it 'Periwinkle Blue'. Inside the box, which by the way is also Periwinkle Blue with Gold coloured borders, is extremely classy.

Now, onto the actual product. Let me tell you, it's to die for and it's gorgeous. The compact's packaging feels great and the wordings on the compact does not seem like its a sticker.

M.A.C. describes the colour as a 'light Golden Peach with solid shimmer' and I would definitely agree to that. The texture of the Irisdescent Powder is not soft and quite rough to the touch but I would blame it on the glitters that is in the powder. Yes, glitter and not shimmer. There is shimmer but there is also glitter so if you're not a fan of bigger 'solid shimmer' (i.e. glitter), then this is not for you. It is also not advisable for those who have imperfections on their face as this would definitely accentuate imperfections.

With that being said, I do love this Iridescent Powder. It will definitely give off a glow to skin and I'm all in for the glow.

PROS : Beauiful packaging, beautiful colour, does what its supposed to do
CONS : Hard texture (not smooth to the touch)

Overall Rating : B+
